I’m thrilled to share a recent discovery that might just be my all-time favorite Facebook Marketplace find – or rather, finds! I’ve had incredible luck uncovering hidden gems on Marketplace over the years, but these latest additions to our living room have truly elevated the space.

After successfully cleaning wood furniture for Regan’s room, I caught the “Marketplace bug.” I’m constantly on the hunt for unique pieces, and this marble coffee table is a true showstopper.

Finding the Best Deals on Facebook Marketplace

For this stunning marble coffee table, my husband Robert and I took a two-hour road trip, but it was absolutely worth it!

What makes this find even more special is that the marble coffee table was made in 1960, the exact year our house was built. Talk about a perfect match!

While I didn’t document the cleaning process in detail this time, the process was straightforward. To refresh and clean marble, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide (applied separately) work wonders.

Removing Smoke Smell from Wood Furniture

I’m a firm believer in the power of Murphy Oil Soap! When we brought the marble coffee table home, it had a lingering cigarette smoke smell. To neutralize the odor, I mixed 1/4 cup of Murphy Oil Soap with a gallon of warm water and wiped down the wood. The smell disappeared almost instantly.

In addition to the coffee table, I found a gorgeous mahogany nesting table on Marketplace a few days earlier. I’m loving the resurgence of traditional wood furniture in our home, and it’s a perfect fit for our colonial-style house.
